NEW DELHI: Who will probe the mysterious suicidal dying of actor Sushant Singh Rajput grew to become a triangular conflict in the Supreme Court between the Mumbai Police on one aspect and Bihar and CBI on the opposite because the Maharashtra informed the apex courtroom that the central company has no jurisdiction to probe the incident because the state had not given consent for investigation by it.

The inspector, Bhushan Mhadev Belnekar, stated Maharashtra, and never Bihar, was the state competent to present consent beneath Section 6 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act for CBI investigation into any offence that has taken place throughout the jurisdiction of the state.

Belnekar stated, “The Bihar authorities’s choice to switch probe to Patna bristles with mala fide as Bihar police had no jurisdiction to lodge FIR on an incident that has taken place in Mumbai and second Bihar was not the state competent to suggest CBI probe beneath DSPE Act”.
