NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court’s Friday verdict holding Prashant Bhushan responsible of contempt for his two derogatory tweets towards the judiciary was termed as “unlucky” by authorized specialists who stated the activist-lawyer was solely exercising his freedom of expression.
Senior advocates Vikas Singh and Arvind Datar stated these tweets might have been inappropriate however doesn’t appeal to the cost of contempt of courtroom.
However, taking a distinct stand, senior advocate Ajit Sinha, stated it was for the courtroom to resolve and there is no level making any touch upon the decision.
“It was Supreme Court’s area,” he stated.
Singh, former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA),stated what the apex courtroom dominated was not proper.

Singh’s view was shared by Datar, who termed the decision as “unlucky”, and didn’t agree with the discovering that what Bhushan had stated amounted to ‘contempt of courtroom.
