THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Fifty-year-old KN Ananthapadmanabhan is elated after getting the information that he has been chosen for the elite panel of ICC umpires.
“This was what I used to be ready for a very long time, and I knew I’d get it and am extraordinarily joyful and delighted. I missed out enjoying for the nation as I plied my commerce when the nation’s best leg spinner Anil Kumble reigned supreme. We performed virtually across the identical time and therefore I did not play for the nation,” stated the previous Kerala skipper.
He performed 105 first-class matches for Kerala, beginning in 1988-89, and represented the state till 2003-04. In between he performed for the India A group in opposition to the visiting Steve Waugh led Australian group in 1998.
