UPSC examination 93rd ranker lodges criticism over pretend profiles

MUMBAI: An offence has been registered in opposition to unidentified individuals for creating pretend Instagram profiles of a 23-year-old former Miss India finalist who secured 93rd rank within the civil companies examination 2019, outcomes of which have been introduced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) earlier this week. Aishwarya Sheoran (23) lodged a criticism on Thursday after she discovered as many as 16 pretend Instagram accounts having her pictures and particulars, a Colaba police station official mentioned.

Sheoran, who was a finalist within the 2016 Miss India contest, mentioned she didn’t have an account on Instagram, the official added.

“We have booked unidentified individuals below part 66 of Information and Technology Act for creating pretend profiles of the complainant,” he added.
